The halfway point of the year is a great opportunity to pause and evaluate where you are with your health goals. Whether you started January with ambitious plans or simply wanted to make a few healthier choices, July offers a fresh chance to reset and move forward.

Many people think a reset means starting over, but it really means making adjustments based on what you’ve learned so far. Maybe your schedule changed, priorities shifted or your original goals weren’t realistic for your lifestyle. That’s okay. Progress isn’t about perfection, it’s about staying engaged in the process.

PHMP Health Coach Shallece reminds us, “Improving your health is not about perfection or sticking to a strict plan. It’s about making small realistic changes that fit your life and adjusting when needed.“

A great place to start is by reviewing the basics: nutrition, movement, sleep, stress management and preventive care. Even small improvements in these areas can lead to meaningful results over time.

PHMP Health Coach Linn encourages members to use summer as a checkpoint: “Summer is a good time to revisit your health goals for the year. Have you gotten your screenings? Are you still working on your fitness resolutions from January? You still have plenty of time to make changes and get back on track!“

Think about one habit you’d like to strengthen this month. Perhaps it’s preparing more meals at home, walking after dinner, drinking more water, or scheduling a preventive appointment you’ve been postponing. Focusing on one manageable change often leads to greater success than trying to change everything at once.

Mid Year Health Reset

As America celebrates 250 years of resilience and progress, it’s worth remembering that meaningful improvement happens one step at a time. The same is true for health.

PHMP Health Coach Carlos reinforces this foundation: “Healthy eating, physical activity, sleep, and stress management all play an important role in overall health and well-being.“

This July, celebrate your freedom to begin again. No matter where you are in your health journey, today is a great day to recommit to your goals.

250 Challenge
