Thanksgiving is a time for gratitude, connection, and yes, plenty of food! But it doesn’t have to end in a food coma. With a few intentional choices, you can enjoy the feast and still feel energized.

PHMP Health Coach Linn recommends:

  1. Find healthy recipes. Delicious doesn’t mean unhealthy, there are countless ways to make lighter versions of your favorites.
  2. Use fresh ingredients. Choose whole, seasonal foods over processed ones.
  3. Eat breakfast and lunch. Don’t skip meals as it helps prevent overeating later.
  4. Get active. Plan a walk, game or outdoor activity with family.

PHMP Health Coach Adriana adds, “A few simple swaps like roasting vegetables in olive oil instead of butter, choosing lean proteins and adding lighter desserts can make the feast both delicious and energizing.”

Thanksgiving doesn’t have to be about restriction, it’s about feeling good and being present.

Challenge: Make one new healthy tradition this Thanksgiving, whether it’s a morning walk, lighter recipe, or mindful moment of gratitude before the meal.

Try one of these recipe swaps to add something new to your table without losing that “just like Grandma made it” magic.
