Don’t shy away from Eating Eggs!!

Cholesterol Myths Busted

For many years, we have been told “Don’t eat eggs because they are high in cholesterol”. But the latest research has shown that most people can eat 1-2 eggs per day without affecting their cholesterol levels.

The actual truth is that dietary sources of cholesterol have minimal effect on your blood levels. It’s your liver that makes most of the cholesterol in your body! Your liver has a nifty way of sensing the required amount of cholesterol your body needs. Studies have also shown that eating an egg a day was not linked to higher rates of heart attack or stroke.

Eggs are considered a protein superfood because they are loaded with vitamins, minerals, high-quality protein, and almost every vitamin and mineral required by the human body. And what many people don’t realize is that most of this fabulous nutrition is in the yolk!!

One of our Coaches often cooks a batch of hard-boiled eggs to keep in the refrigerator as a go-to protein snack to have throughout a busy week instead of reaching for the chips or cookies.
