BEYOND THE BASICS

Biometric screenings provide the backbone to crafting your Proactive Health Management Plan. Included are the basics of measurement: height, weight, BMI, blood pressure, cholesterol levels, and much more.

The Proactive Health Management Plan’s biometric screening report helps our coaches perform as effectively as possible when managing your health. The biometric screening report not only gives detailed numbers on your current readings and where you fit on a scale of risk, it also gives recommendations for lifestyle changes and steps you can take to get back on track. Plus, it can also identify risk factors for illnesses, such as diabetes and heart disease, years before full onset.

What does a biometric screening test for?

The Proactive Health Management Plan includes a thorough biometric screening report, or a Personal Wellness Report. After you complete a biometric screening, you’ll receive an extensive document detailing such things as:

BLOOD PRESSURE

Maintaining a good blood pressure is important to many aspects of your health, especially when it comes to risk of heart attack or stroke. The Proactive Health Management Plan’s biometric screening report not only shows your current blood pressure readings and how you fit into a scale of risk, it also gives recommendations for lifestyle changes and actions steps you can take to get everything under control.

CHOLESTEROL

Cholesterol is a waxy substance that occurs naturally in the body and is required for normal functioning. If too much cholesterol builds up in the walls of your arteries, hardening of the arteries may occur, increasing the risk for heart attack and stroke. Depending on your cholesterol level, the Proactive Health Management Plan may recommend adding more fiber to your diet, changing your exercise routines, and more.

GLUCOSE

During digestion, the body normally breaks down food into a form of simple sugar called glucose. Any unused glucose circulates in the bloodstream and is stored as fat, resulting in obesity and increased risk for diabetes. Monitoring your glucose levels is important to avoiding diabetes. With the help of your Proactive Health Management Plan health coach, we’ll keep control over your glucose levels.
